Lip fillers first, or dental treatment?

I want to clarify a question that my patients frequently ask during our long journey with aesthetics. Smile design is a holistic process. The harmonious and sequential work of your aesthetic surgeon and dentist ensures much more successful results.

You may have also wanted lip fillers at the same time as your treatments for healthy teeth, not just for aesthetic purposes. To avoid wasting time, effort, and money, and to achieve the most effective result, you may need to prioritize these treatments.

Dental treatment changes the proportions of the mouth and lips. Therefore, it is preferable to have dental treatment first and then apply lip fillers. This allows your aesthetic surgeon to more accurately determine the amount and style of filler to be used, resulting in more aesthetically pleasing lips.

If the opposite has happened; if you have started dental treatments after your lip filler treatment; it should be remembered that the filler in your lip tissue, which has been excessively stretched with an oral retractor, will dissolve faster than expected.

Also; To minimize your risk of infection, you should not have any dental treatment for two weeks before or after filler injections.
