WHAT DOES CGF-CD34 MEAN?

CGF-CD34 is the name given to the layer containing platelets, leukocytes, and various growth factors and cytokines, obtained after centrifuging a person’s own blood through four different cycles and durations. The stem cells and platelets in the blood, known as CD34, secrete growth factors (Growth Hormone) that trigger natural healing processes, including blood clotting, tissue repair, cell growth, proliferation and rejuvenation, and the repair of damaged tissues.

When any damage occurs in our tissues, our blood collects platelets in that tissue to initiate a repair process.

The aim of CGF-CD34 application is to deliver a much larger number of platelets to the target tissue than can be transported through blood circulation, thus enabling the repair of the damaged tissue to begin more quickly and powerfully, and to yield results faster, because the concentration of platelets obtained with CGF-CD34 is 2 to 5 times higher than that in the blood.

CGF-CD34 is a relatively new and more natural treatment that has been increasingly used in the treatment of various diseases in recent years.

Although initially used more for “cosmetic and anti-aging” purposes, it is now used especially in musculoskeletal diseases, in the healing of injured areas, in the treatment of wounds and burns, and in hair loss, as it is an easier method compared to other treatments.

There is a great deal of evidence showing that blood fluid rich in platelets and leukocytes – plasma – increases cell proliferation, differentiation, blood supply, and connective tissue – filling between cells, and also activates the defense mechanism against various infections. It is also autologous, meaning it is obtained from the person’s own blood.

HOW IS CGF-CD34 APPLIED?

The application is done by injecting it directly into the scalp after cleaning the scalp with a mesotherapy needle.
It is injected into the areas where hair is falling out, either alone or as an adjunct to other treatments, in the treatment of hair loss. In the treatment of lifeless, dry, thin, and damaged hair, if the hair follicles are alive, it promotes new hair growth, reduces hair loss, and helps thicken and strengthen the hair. It is a very promising treatment, especially in male pattern baldness. In female patients, it offers successful results in post-menopausal hair weakening and hair loss.

WHAT SHOULD BE THE FREQUENCY AND DOSAGE OF CGF-CD34 APPLICATION?

Scientific studies are insufficient to provide definitive information on this matter. Therefore, the frequency and method of CGF-CD34 application may vary depending on each individual and the response obtained.
While 3-6 sessions of CGF-CD34 application are classically considered sufficient in practice, additional sessions may be added to the planned number or the treatment may be terminated early. Your doctor should absolutely decide on this.
There is no risk of overdose with CGF-CD34 application. The amount of blood taken from the person is determined according to the amount of concentrated platelet-containing plasma sufficient for the application area. This usually means between 10-20 cc of blood for one application area. From this amount of blood, approximately 2-5 cc of concentrated platelet-containing plasma is obtained.

HOW LONG DOES THE EFFECT OF CGF-CD34 LAST? WHAT ARE THE SUCCESS RATES?

CGF-CD34 injection is not a drug, product, etc. No pharmacological drugs are administered; only the body’s own healing potential is used. Thanks to this healing stimulation, results are usually slow but permanent.
If the treatment is repeated 3-4 times a year after 3-6 applications every 15-30 or 45-90 days, the effect of the courses is equivalent to a permanent effect.
CGF-CD34 treatment, which has no side effects, does not involve any pharmacological drugs, products, etc., and since only the person’s own blood is used, there is no risk of allergy, disease transmission, or tissue incompatibility. It is a safe procedure because nothing other than the person’s own blood is added to the material used. However, to achieve such a high level of safety, APPROPRIATE KITS MUST BE USED. After the treatment, the person can continue their daily life.

WHO SHOULD NOT RECEIVE CGF-CD4 TREATMENT?

CGF-CD34 is NOT suitable for:
Individuals with insufficient platelet count or those prone to bruising in any area,
In those with active infections,
In those with bleeding disorders or those taking high doses of blood thinners on the same day,
In those with chronic liver disease (cirrhosis, hepatitis, etc.),
In individuals with cancer in the application area.

WHAT TO PAY ATTENTION TO AFTER CGF-CD34 APPLICATION?

After the application, there will be redness and a feeling of tightness in the area, which will heal spontaneously without the need for treatment. It is recommended not to wash or clean the application area for 4-6 hours.
Swimming in pools or the sea should be avoided for 12-24 hours after CGF-CD34 application. Anti-inflammatory (i.e., rheumatic-pain relievers) drugs should not be used after the injection as they will neutralize the natural healing process stimulated by CGF-CD34. However, if your pain persists after CGF-CD34 treatment, you can use pain relievers like paracetamol or apply a cold/ice compress.
