Chin Rejuvenation Treatments

Non-Surgical “Double Chin” Aesthetics;

As physicians, we plan our treatment protocols according to certain criteria during the initial examination of our patients who come to us with a “double chin problem.” These can be listed as follows:

  1. If the fat tissue in the chin is at normal volumes, and there are no issues such as aging or weight gain/loss, but the appearance of a double chin occurs due to a small jawbone. In this case, Jawline filler and Chin filler to make the jawbone more prominent would be the correct method. If there is also a loss of elasticity, tightening applications can be combined with jawline treatment.
  2. In cases where collagen production, which gives elasticity to the skin, decreases significantly with age, and sagging of the chin is observed, especially in the neck area, due to deformation, but there is no fat tissue in the chin; Elasticity-enhancing and tightening methods such as Thread Lift, Biostimulants, Mesotherapy, Biological lifting agents, HIFU (Focused Ultrasound), and Gold Needle Radiofrequency systems can be applied.
  3. Irregular weight gain causes sagging in the chin area to develop more quickly due to fat accumulation. Sometimes, the weight gain first manifests in the chin area. In this case, our treatment protocol is: First, to melt the excess fat in this area using lipolysis methods. Then, to apply a combination of tightening and elasticity-enhancing systems to this area, which has become hollow and saggy.
  4. Now, let’s consider situations beyond our expertise; especially for patients with extensive chin fat accumulation and sagging extending below the thyroid cartilage: Without touching the area, we explain in a polite manner that the situation is borderline for surgery and refer the patient to a plastic surgeon.
