Hand Rejuvenation Treatments

Our hands, along with our face, are the most visible part of our body and the first point of contact with others. Besides being the area most exposed to the external environment, they are also one of the areas with the thinnest skin. Sunlight, hot and cold weather, frequent washing habits, dry air, and the use of cleansing agents all cause damage to the skin on our hands and lead to premature aging. Unfortunately, like the neck, the hands are an area where we can’t hide our age. But there’s no need to worry anymore; the medical aesthetics sector offers many treatment options…

HAND FILLERS: In recent years, fillers have been used to camouflage vascularity in the hands and to provide fullness to the skin. This procedure, which takes 15-20 minutes under local anesthesia in a clinical setting, usually involves injecting a filler made from biostimulants such as calcium hydroxyapatite/PLLA, or a hyaluronic acid-based filler, sometimes a combination of fillers, into 3-4 points on the back of the hand. Massage is then used to distribute the filler across the entire back of the hand, helping to reduce wrinkles and the appearance of aging. Of course, these fillers need to be repeated every 12-14 months.

HAND PRP/CGF/AUTOLOGOUS EXOSOME; PRP treatment is one of the latest methods applied to improve the skin quality of the hands and restore them to their former youthful, plump, and firm state. 8-10 cc of blood is taken from the patient, centrifuged in special tubes, and then 4-5 cc of the platelet-rich blood extract is reinjected into the skin of the hand with very fine needles. Growth factors and many factors involved in skin regeneration (wound healing) are injected into the skin in this platelet-rich and concentrated fluid, resulting in improvement, increased radiance, and a velvety texture. This procedure can be applied 2-3 times at 2-week intervals. It can be considered a very high-quality mesotherapy and is one of the important applications for improving skin quality. In recent years, autologous exosomes and CGF are also other plasma treatments used in hand rejuvenation.

HAND MESOTHERAPY; Essentially, hand rejuvenation is done to revitalize the skin, increase cell metabolism, and delay aging. This treatment uses various combinations of collagen and cell regenerators derived from salmon, antioxidant vitamins such as A, D, and E, selenium, ginkgo biloba, and especially hyaluronic acid, which provides fullness to the skin and balances its moisture level. Sessions last an average of 15-30 minutes, and since the needles are extremely fine, the sensation of pain is minimal. The number of sessions varies depending on the age group, but averages 4-6 sessions.
