What should you do to lose weight faster a few months before summer?

  • Cook your own food! Even if the food you eat outside is just vegetables, using heavy oils like butter increases its calorie content. However, a vegetable dish cooked at home with olive oil will be much lighter. Since you know exactly what’s in your homemade food, you can calculate its calorie count. This way, you can avoid unhealthy, high-calorie sauces and unknown, unhealthy additives.
  • Eat legumes instead of bread! Legumes are very rich in protein and vitamins, so you can choose them instead of bread. This way, you can increase the nutritional value of your meal while reducing the calorie count.
  • Create a nutrition plan and follow it! When you suddenly feel hungry and don’t know what to eat, your food choices often exceed your normal calorie intake, and the phrase “I’m starting a diet today” turns into “I’ll eat today and start tomorrow,” right? The solution to all this is simple: create a nutrition plan for yourself and make things easier by preparing your meals in advance!
  • Take a break from alcohol for a while! From cold beer to cool off on the beach to quench the thirst of the night with icy cocktails, we consume much more alcohol in the summer than in the winter months. By giving your body a break for just a few months, you can both detoxify your body and shed some of that alcohol-induced belly fat.
  • Walk more! Walking loosens your joints and increases movement, leading to calorie burning. With warmer weather, you can walk short distances, and if you use public transport, I recommend getting off a few stops before or after your destination and walking.
  • Exercise for 15 minutes before bed! You can do 100 sit-ups and/or push-ups next to your bed before going to sleep. Doing this exercise daily for a month will start to show results. Turn your Sunday activities into exercise! Instead of having family or friend activities at a restaurant on Sunday, you can go for a nature walk or a self-padded canoe trip with your loved ones.
