Hair PRP

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)

This is the abbreviated name for a treatment method called platelet-enriched plasma application.

This application is based on the principle of taking 8 cc of venous blood from the patient, placing it in a special tube, centrifuging it to separate its components, and then returning the resulting small amount of platelet-enriched plasma (PRP) to the same patient. The application is performed directly into the scalp using a mesotherapy needle after the scalp is cleaned. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and is minimally painful.

WHERE IS PRP USED FOR HAIR?

PRP treatment is used for hair loss, revitalizing hair follicles, and age-related hair loss.

WHAT ARE THE NUMBER AND INTERVALS OF HAIR PRP SESSIONS?

For hair treatment, 6 sessions are applied, once a month. Booster treatment may be performed as recommended by your doctor to ensure lasting results.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OF HAIR PRP APPLICATION?

This treatment is autologous, meaning it involves returning the patient’s own cells to the patient, so it has no side effects; however, depending on the patient’s expectations, the treating physician may support it with other methods if deemed necessary.

WHO SHOULD NOT RECEIVE HAIR PRP TREATMENT?

It is not applied to cancer patients, those with autoimmune diseases, and those with extremely low platelet levels.

CAN HAIR PRP BE COMBINED WITH OTHER TREATMENTS?

Absolutely. Following your doctor’s recommendation, it has been observed that combining it with other hair treatments such as mesotherapy and laser hair removal increases its effectiveness.
