FTC Thread Lift / Organic Thread Body Lift
Years…Years…With the aging process, the synthesis of collagen, elastin, and fibrin, the building blocks of our skin, decreases. Our skin, the largest garment of our body, begins to sag. Loss of elasticity becomes particularly noticeable in the arms, inner thighs, abdomen, knees, and bra line areas. Organic thread lift methods can be used for all areas of the body that have lost elasticity, just as they are for the face and neck/chin area.
WHAT IS FTC THREAD LIFT?
It is a body lifting application using organic threads containing PDO, which is a cell regenerator; it is used to INCREASE SKIN ELASTICITY and IMPROVE SKIN TONE.
These tissue-equivalent threads are absorbed and disappear by the body within 180-240 days after application. The body itself then creates collagen threads to lift the skin upwards.
In non-surgical thread lifting, antimicrobial threads such as Polydioxanone (PDO) and polyglycolic acid (PGA) are used, which are absorbed by the skin after a period of time. These threads are completely organic, biocompatible, and have a skin-holding property similar to those used in surgeries, with a fishnet-like ridge. They are contained within a blunt-tipped cannula and are used for upward suspension due to their skin-holding properties.
In fact, these threads are MEDICAL SUTURE THREADS, especially used in HEART SURGERY.
They are threads used in surgical applications, therefore they are reliable. Placed under the skin, these threads lift and rejuvenate the skin, effectively treating sagging and wrinkles.
HOW DOES FTC THREAD LIFT WORK?
When organic PDO threads are placed in aged and sagging tissue, they accelerate blood circulation and metabolism, promoting the restructuring of COLLAGEN, which forms the tissue skeleton/main structure.
Organic PDO threads only show their effect in the area where they are applied. They have a corrective effect on the elasticity and shape of the tissue without the need for surgical intervention.
The threads, placed under the skin, lift and rejuvenate the skin, effectively treating sagging and wrinkles.
The threads trigger the skin’s repair process. Increased collagen, elastin fibers, and circulation lead to skin tightening and firming. The threads, which act as a mechanical support within the skin, dissolve in approximately 180 days. However, during this time, the skin renews itself. Thread results are more visible in younger skin. Tighter contours are formed, and skin quality improves.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FTC THREAD LIFT?
It can be applied to male and female patients between the ages of 35 and 60 who do not want surgery. It is especially preferred in the treatment of moderate skin sagging that is not within the surgical limits. The more threads, the more effective it is. Repeating the treatment over the years increases its effectiveness.
HOW LONG DOES AN FTC THREAD LIFT TREATMENT TAKE?
The treatment takes approximately 1 hour, depending on the area being treated.
IS AN FTC THREAD LIFT PAINFUL?
It is a minimally invasive procedure, and if anesthesia is applied to the area beforehand, the procedure is painless. An elastic bandage is recommended for one week after the procedure, and daily and social activities can be resumed. You can shower the next day. Heavy exercise and swimming are prohibited for one month. Sunbathing and using Turkish baths/saunas are not recommended for one month. Mild tingling, pulling, and undulations are normal and temporary until the threads dissolve.
WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AFTER AN FTC THREAD LIFT TREATMENT?
Minimal bruising and swelling may occur after the procedure. Applying ice throughout the day will reduce swelling and bruising. Bruising-reducing creams can be used to minimize any bruising that occurs.
The swelling and bruising caused by the procedure are not severe enough to affect work and social life. Post-procedure bruising can be covered with concealer makeup. Proper use of the stabilizing and swelling-reducing elastic bandage applied by your doctor for one week is important to minimize bruising and swelling. For one month, avoid strenuous activities such as swimming and heavy exercise, refrain from alcohol consumption, and avoid using NSAID pain relievers. And of course, as with all dermocosmetic procedures, avoid Turkish baths, saunas, and solariums for at least one month after the procedure.
WHEN WILL THE EFFECTS OF FTC THREAD LIFT APPEAR?
While the desired healthy, taut appearance is noticeable immediately after the application, the best results become much clearer after the 4th week. The main results begin to be seen after 2-3 months, as skin renewal and collagen synthesis continue. The patient can remove the bandages after one week. Follow-up appointments are scheduled by the doctor at 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year.
HOW LONG DOES THE EFFECT OF FTC THREAD LIFT LAST?
Within two weeks after the application, due to increased collagen production, elasticity increases, wrinkles improve, and skin whitening occurs. The duration of the effect is approximately 3 years.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OF FTC THREAD LIFT?
There are no side effects. Since the threads are inserted using single-use sterile blunt-tipped cannulas, there is no risk of infection.
The threads used in the FTC Thread Lift method are the same threads that have been used in surgical applications for years. Therefore, they are reliable. Bruising and swelling may develop after the procedure. Some patients may experience tightness, stinging, burning, electric shock sensations, or a feeling of fullness. These complaints subside within a few days.
WHERE CAN FTC THREAD LIFT BE APPLIED?
It can be applied to the arms, inner thighs, under the bra, upper and lower abdomen, around the navel, and above the knees.
WHAT IS THE LIKELIHOOD OF SKIN SAGGING AGAIN AFTER FTC THREAD LIFT?
This technique differs completely from other known “thread lift” techniques in its mechanism of action. The threads have a strong holding power, and since no load is placed on the threads, the likelihood of the thread’s effect disappearing and the skin sagging again quickly is low. The main effectiveness lies in the threads dissolving and the body producing collagen threads, which prevents the loss of elasticity during the natural aging process.
HOW MANY THREADS ARE USED IN AN FTC THREAD LIFT?
Between 8 and 20 threads are used, depending on the size of the treatment area and the intensity of the sagging. The more threads, the greater the collagen thread formation and the greater the effectiveness.
