HIFU (Focused Ultrasound)
Recent studies in the Aesthetics sector have shown that; While pursuing eternal beauty, combined-synergistic technologies are creating more pleasing results for our patients. “Next Generation Focused Ultrasound is one of the systems that allows the combined use of 3 technologies (HIFU = Focused Ultrasound + RF + Vacuum) used in skin rejuvenation and tightening. This combination allows for treatment of every layer of the skin in a single session. In this FDA-approved and non-invasive method, the aim is to reach the SMAS layer (the layer containing the sheaths of facial muscles) and collagen, the target tissue. To give a general explanation of this:
“The Layers of Facial Tissues are as follows”;
SKIN Layer: Since the skin is composed of elastic connective tissue, it is a layer that is more easily relaxed against tension. A tightening procedure applied only to this layer will lose its effect quickly and prematurely.
SMAS Layer: The SMAS layer is a layer containing the sheaths of facial muscles and is a stronger layer than the skin. While a tightening procedure applied to this layer is more permanent than to the skin, the tightening effect will eventually wear off and the face will return to its original state.” It returns. In cases where surgery is not desired, permanence can be increased with repeat periods of 1.5-2 years.
SMAS Sublayer: The SMAS sublayer is the muscle layer of the face. It is the most resistant layer to tension. Lifting procedures performed in this plane are more effective and permanent. This area requires interventional applications from our Plastic Surgeon colleagues.
Non-surgical and non-invasive NEW GENERATION FOCUSED ULTRASOUND (HIFU+RF+VACUUM);
It emerges as an alternative treatment option, especially for patients who do not want surgery and want to return to their normal lives quickly.
How Does HIFU (Focused Ultrasound) Work?
HIFU, or Focused Ultrasound, works by creating “hot spots” in the lower layers of the skin using ultrasound energy (sound waves focused on deep tissues). The application creates heat-related damage at depths of 4.5 mm, 3.5 mm, and 1.5 mm. In body applications, 13 mm heads are used to create heat-related damage. In other words, a wound and healing process is planned. Thanks to these points created under the skin, the skin’s self-repair process is triggered, strengthening the “connective tissue” beneath the skin. With the strengthened connective tissue, collagen production increases, creating a “lifting” effect on the skin’s surface. Because it doesn’t affect the upper layer of the skin, it doesn’t cause any damage to the skin’s surface. It affects deeper layers; the dermis, subcutaneous fat layer, and the SMAS membrane layer covering the muscles, increasing new collagen production through the highly targeted energy it generates there.
How do RF (Radiofrequency) and Vacuum work?
The radiofrequency probe is bipolar and particularly effective on the superficial layers of the skin. The aim is to heat the skin and subcutaneous tissues with electromagnetic radio waves applied in a controlled manner using thermostimulation technique. This heat effect renews collagen and elastin fibers, the building blocks of the skin, increasing skin elasticity and thus tightening sagging skin. It also provides a radiant complexion by reducing pore size and a noticeable anti-aging effect through increased cellular renewal. Vacuum, on the other hand, is important for regulating circulation, especially in facial and body tightening treatments and cellulite treatments. Vacuum therapy applied to key points removes all kinds of harmful scavenger cells and toxins from the body. This needle-free RF (Radiofrequency) system is also called ‘Satin Face Lift’ in the aesthetics industry.
Is HIFU (Focused Ultrasound) Only Applied to the Face? How is it used on the body? Is it effective for cellulite and firming?
The NEW GENERATION FOCUSED ULTRASOUND offers us many treatment options with its 3 different treatment options (HIFU+RF+VACUUM) for the face, chin, and the whole body, including anti-aging, firming, and cellulite treatment. It has special 13 mm heads for body applications. Combination and synergistic treatment options can be performed with the treatment protocols recommended by your doctor.
How many HIFU (FOCUSED ULTRASOUND) sessions are applied? When does the effect begin? What is the duration of the effect? Is there any pain or discomfort? Does it affect daily life?
It is applied as a single session on the face. Body applications are planned independently of HIFU, according to your doctor’s recommendations and needs. Effective results begin to be seen between 30 and 60 days. The duration of the effect is approximately 2 years according to clinical studies. There is no pain or discomfort during the application, only a slight tingling sensation may occur. A slight redness may occur after treatment, which can disappear within one or two hours. It does not affect daily life.
HIFU (FOCUSED ULTRASOUND) Which Areas Can It Be Applied To?
Prevention of deformation and loss of oval face shape, Re-establishment of jawline contour, Elimination of facial sagging
Reduction of skin density and subcutaneous fat
Elimination and reduction of nasolabial lines
Tightening of sagging cheeks and lip corners
Elimination of sagging eyebrows
Elimination of wrinkles between the eyebrows
Elimination of under-eye bags
Reduction of wrinkles around the eyes
Tightening of sagging under the chin, jowls, and neck
Elimination of sagging above the knees, arms, and inner thighs
Cellulite treatment
Can NEW GENERATION FOCUSED ULTRASOUND BE COMBINED WITH OTHER SYSTEMS?
Thread lift, Exosome, PRP, CGF, Youth Vaccine, Salmon DNA, Fibrocell, etc. With these applications, synergistic mechanisms of action can be applied as recommended by your doctor; combined treatments always support the duration of effectiveness.
HIFU (Focused Ultrasound) – Who Should Not Be Treated? Which Age Groups Can It Be Performed On? Can It Be Applied to Men? How Long Does the Application Take?
HIFU is not performed on individuals with active skin infections (herpes virus), those with electronic devices such as pacemakers or metal stents in their bodies, those with diseases that prevent wound healing or blood clotting, those with autoimmune diseases, those with epilepsy, children, and pregnant women. Individuals over 30 years of age and those whose skin is beginning to lose elasticity are the most suitable candidates. Therefore, it can be applied to both women and men. Cellulite treatment, however, can be applied to all age groups, starting from the age group with the problem who has completed adolescence. The application time is between 45-60 minutes.
