FTC Thread Lift / Facial Lift with Organic Threads
ORGANIC THREAD LIFT
It’s inevitable that our skin succumbs to the effects of time! As time progresses, sagging and loosening occur throughout our bodies, especially in the face and neck area. The main reason for this is that collagen and elastin fibers are no longer as firm as they used to be. With this new generation “Non-Surgical Face Lift” method using organic threads, it is possible to replace the losses of years.
WHAT IS FTC THREAD LIFT?
It is a face lift application with organic threads containing PDO, which is a cell regenerator; it is used to INCREASE SKIN ELASTICITY and IMPROVE SKIN TONE.
These tissue-equivalent threads are absorbed and disappear by the body within 180-240 days after the application. The body itself creates collagen threads and lifts the skin upwards.
In non-surgical thread facelifts, antimicrobial threads such as Polydioxanone (PDO) and polyglycolic acid (PGA) are used, which are absorbed by the skin after a period of time. These threads are completely organic, biocompatible, and have a skin-holding property similar to those used in surgeries, with a fishnet-like ridge. They are contained within a blunt-tipped cannula and are used for upward lifting due to their skin-holding properties.
In fact, these threads are MEDICAL SUTURE THREADS, specifically used in HEART SURGERY.
They are threads used in surgical applications. Therefore, they are reliable. The threads, placed under the skin, lift and rejuvenate the skin, effectively treating sagging and wrinkles.
HOW DOES FTC THREAD LIFT WORK?
Organic PDO threads, when placed in aged and sagging tissue, accelerate blood circulation and metabolism, promoting the restructuring of collagen, which forms the tissue’s framework.
Organic PDO threads only show their effect in the area where they are applied. They have a corrective effect on the elasticity and shape of the tissue without the need for surgical intervention.
The threads, placed under the skin, lift and rejuvenate the skin, effectively treating sagging and wrinkles.
The threads trigger the skin’s repair process. Increased collagen, elastin fibers, and circulation lead to skin tightening and firming. The threads, which act as a mechanical support within the skin, dissolve in approximately 180 days. However, during this time, the skin renews itself. Thread results are more noticeable in younger skin. The face appears thinner and the contours more defined.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FTC THREAD LIFT?
This is a non-surgical facelift method that yields very pleasing results, especially in mid-face and lower face lifts and chin lifts. It can be applied to female and male patients between the ages of 35 and 60. It is particularly preferred in the treatment of moderate skin sagging that is not at the surgical threshold. It can also correct nasolabial folds, cheek sagging, chin sagging, chin, eyebrow drooping, and neck lines. It creates a more rested and youthful appearance on the face.
HOW LONG DOES AN FTC THREAD LIFT TREATMENT TAKE?
The treatment time varies between 15-45 minutes depending on the area being treated.
IS AN FTC THREAD LIFT PAINFUL?
It is a minimally invasive procedure, and if anesthesia is applied to the area beforehand, the procedure is painless. Makeup can be applied after the procedure, and daily social activities can be resumed. Since this method is not a surgical procedure, although it is possible to swim, sunbathe, or bathe immediately after the procedure, it is recommended not to do so on the same day.
WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AFTER AN FTC THREAD LIFT TREATMENT?
Minimal bruising and swelling may occur after the procedure. Applying ice throughout the day will reduce swelling and bruising. Bruising-reducing creams can be used to minimize any bruising that occurs.
The swelling and bruising caused by the procedure are not severe enough to affect work or social life. Post-procedure bruising can be covered with concealer makeup. Using the fixing and anti-inflammatory cosmetic mask applied by your doctor correctly for 3 days after the procedure is also important to shorten the bruising and swelling process. For 1 month, you should lie on your back as much as possible, avoid alcohol, and do not use NSAID pain relievers. Also, for 1 month, avoid large movements that involve opening your mouth wide, such as eating apples or hamburgers, or going to the dentist, and avoid hair washing procedures at the hairdresser that involve tilting your neck back. And of course, as with all dermocosmetic procedures, you should avoid Turkish baths, saunas, and solariums for at least 1 month after the procedure.
WHEN WILL THE EFFECTS OF FTC THREAD LIFT APPEAR?
While the desired healthy, taut appearance is noticeable immediately after the procedure, the best results are much more clearly visible after the 4th week. The main results begin to be seen after 2-3 months, as skin renewal and collagen synthesis continue. The mask is removed by the physician on the 3rd day, and a massage is performed. Follow-up appointments are scheduled for 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year.
HOW LONG DOES THE EFFECT OF FTC THREAD LIFT LAST?
Within two weeks after the application, due to increased collagen production, elasticity increases, wrinkles improve, and skin whitening occurs. The duration of effectiveness is approximately 3 years.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OF FTC THREAD LIFT?
There are no side effects. Since the threads are placed via single-use sterile blunt-tipped cannulas, there is no risk of infection.
The threads used in the FTC Thread Lift method are the same threads that have been used in surgical applications for years. Therefore, they are reliable. Bruising and swelling may develop after the procedure. Some patients may experience a feeling of tightness or fullness. These complaints subside within a few days.
WHERE IS FTC THREAD LIFT APPLIED?
It is applied to sagging in the middle and lower face, the jawline, the nasolabial/marionette line, the cheekbone line, and the double chin line.
WHAT IS THE LIKELIHOOD OF SKIN SAGGING AGAIN AFTER FTC THREAD LIFT?
It is a completely different technique in terms of its mechanism of action from other known “thread lifting” techniques. The threads have a strong holding property, and since no load is placed on the threads, there is no possibility of the thread’s effect losing its effect or the skin sagging again in a short time.
HOW MANY THREADS ARE USED IN FTC THREAD LIFT?
Depending on the size of the application area and the intensity of the sagging, 4-20 threads are used.
WHO SHOULD NOT HAVE FTC THREAD LIFT?
It is not suitable for individuals with blood disorders, those taking blood thinners, patients with severe cancer, patients with severe diabetes, those with skin infections, those experiencing herpes outbreaks, and those with severe autoimmune diseases.
CAN FTC THREAD LIFT BE PERFORMED TOGETHER WITH OTHER AESTHETIC PROCEDURES?
While medical aesthetic procedures such as microneedling, focused ultrasound, and fillers can be applied additionally, it is not recommended to perform them simultaneously due to their traumatic and painful nature. Ideally, no other invasive procedures should be performed for 2 weeks after the thread lift.
